8Today marks the official count down to Comic Con Africa 2019!

Reed Exhibitions and ReedPOP are 79 days away from hosting the biggest and most interactive pop culture experience at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, allowing audiences to experience the best cosplay, comic books, anime, manga, video games, films and series the world has to offer between the 21st and 24th of September 2019.

Comic Con Africa 2019 will welcome an estimated 60,000 visitors, offering 160 hours of content across five halls including panels, competitions, seminars, and workshops. With 250 exhibitors offering event specials on everything from gaming hardware and accessories, cosplay designers, apparel, pop-culture merchandise, comic and figurine collectables as well as various artists, authors and more, this is the place to gear up and geek out.

While there is still so much more to be announced, the 2019 line-up for Comic Con Africa has already surpassed that of last year and audiences will be excited to engage with highly anticipated international visitors like The Avengers’ Anthony Mackie, also known as ‘The Falcon’, who made his first appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and later in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Fans are also eager to meet Isaac Hempstead Wright, better known as Bran Stark, one of the most recognisable characters from the multi-award winning series Game of Thrones. Isaac will take part in panel discussions as well as do photo and autograph signings along with acclaimed American author Brian Azzarello, most notably known for his work on the Harvey and Eisner award- winning 100 Bullets series, as well as Nolan North and Troy Baker.

Nolan North is both an actor and a voice actor and is known for characters such as Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, Desmond Miles from the Assassin’s Creed series, Meepo the Geomancer in Dota2, Penguin in Batman and many more. Troy Baker has become one of the most prolific actors in video games. Audiences are in for a lot more than expected as they can engage with feature areas like Artist Alley, Cosplay Central, Gaming, the Main Stage, LARPing, and the Writers Block as well as a dedicated #Bloggers and #Vloggers Lounge.
