Presented by Savanna Premium Cider, Mrs. Ball’s, One-eyed Jack, and Comedy Central, this year’s show shot live at The Lyric Theatre on April 12th delivered heat, hype, and hilarity in full force.
From the red carpet to the mic drops, it was a no-holds-barred celebration of South African comedy excellence. Expect jaw-dropping stand-up sets from Mel Jones, Celine Tshika, KG Mokgadi, Mashabela Galane, Thabiso Mhlongo, Farieda Metsileng, and Vafa Naraghi, plus outrageous moments from hosts Nina Hastie and Carvin H Goldstone, who brought unfiltered energy, savage roasts, and off-the-cuff chaos.
And of course, the iconic Waldo trophies were handed out by comedy royalty including Rob van Vuuren, Jason Goliath, Sifiso Nene, and Mpho Popps, honouring the comics who made us laugh the hardest and think the deepest over the past year.
