Proudly South African has partnered with Gauteng’s premier lifestyle event, the annual DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival Powered by LottoStar, to enable eight of its lifestyle members to exhibit at the popular Lifestyle Village. This initiative is part of the value proposition Proudly South African provides to its members and aligns with its mandate of opening up market access opportunities for South African small and medium-sized businesses.
The exhibition will provide the selected member companies, following a stringent pitching process they had to go through for an opportunity to raise their public profile, create critical market linkages, and generate sales from a captive audience of revellers who will be attending the event.
Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of the economy and contribute 34% to GDP and employ over 60% of the country’s workforce, according to the latest data from the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).
“We are continuously exploring innovative and impactful ways we can support homegrown small and medium-sized businesses to overcome one of the biggest barriers to their success – lack of access to markets – by leveraging the relationships we have established to facilitate market access for them. This is part of the value proposition that we provide to our companies who espouse the values that Proudly South African subscribes to,” says Chief Marketing Officer of Proudly South African, Happy MaKhumalo Ngidi.
The member companies that will be exhibiting are: Ethereal Candles, Tjiane Creations, RE-L8, Nomakade, Modern Mbadada, Ntozinhle Lifestyle, Imprint, Ditsala and Shesha.

In true Proudly South African style, the organisation will turn up the heat at the event with a 20×10 metre purpose-built home of local at the Local Playground, where exciting local experiences have been lined up. Festivalgoers can test their SA smarts in the fast-paced Shesha 3.2.1 board game and show off their knowledge in the “Know Your Local Brand” quiz featuring our exhibiting members. Prizes include Khoi Tech smartwatches, Shesha 3.2.1 board games, and proudly local goodies, all #LovedHereMadeHere.
The 2025 edition of the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival Powered by LottoStar will be hosted at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in the north of Johannesburg on the weekend enkulu of 20 and 21 September, which will be filled with world-class entertainment, culinary adventure, and creative expression.
