NOMALANGA TO HOST MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2025 GRAND FINALE

by

It’s official: Nomalanga Shozi will host the Miss South Africa 2025 Grand Finale, stepping into the spotlight of the country’s most iconic stage on Saturday 25 October at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.

As one of the most compelling voices in South African entertainment today, Nomalanga’s appointment brings unmatched energy, elegance and edge to this year’s finale. With her signature style, magnetic presence, and fearless fashion instincts, she is set to redefine what it looks and sounds like to host South Africa’s most iconic stage.

Known as The Flame, Nomalanga is a performer, a fashion force, and a voice of modern African womanhood. With a career spanning radio, film, television and global red carpet moments, bringing with her a presence as sharp as her styling, Nomalanga turns the Miss South Africa stage into a runway of power, presence, and precision.

“This moment feels full circle,” she says. “I’ve always admired the women who stood on that stage – and this time, I stand with them, anchoring this iconic moment. Miss South Africa today is more than a crown. It’s a calling – and I’m honouredto hold space for a platform that uplifts purpose, power, and the voices shaping our future.”

This marks a career-defining chapter for the media personality and cultural tastemaker. In the past year alone, she stars as Amandla in BET’s daily drama Black Gold, headlined the Joburg Film Festival, joined L’Oréal’s La Maison collective, and was named GLAMOUR’s GMG Most Stylish Entertainer. Her hosting credits include global stages such as the MTV EMAs in London, BET Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas, the BET Awards red carpet show, and major local platforms such as the SAMA Awards, Metro FM red carpet, the Royalty Soapie Awards and the Steve Madden x Gert-Johan Coetzee fashion showcase.

Her style, poise and presence have made her a natural choice for high-profile live moments, but it is her voice, eloquent, warm, and unshakably grounded – that has made her unforgettable.

Nomalanga steps into this role at a pivotal time. Miss South Africa 2025 marks a reimagining of the platform, with new leadership under Co-Chairs and former Titleholders Basetsana Kumalo and Peggy Sue Khumalo, a renewed focus on impact and purpose, and nine extraordinary finalists preparing to take their place on the national stage. As public voting opens via the Miss South Africa App and anticipation builds toward the 25th of October, Nomalanga will be at the helm – commanding the stage with clarity, power and grace.

With every appearance, Nomalanga continues to prove that excellence is not optional – it’s her standard. As she takes the reins at Miss South Africa 2025, she stands not just as the host of the moment, but as the definitive host of the decade.
