“Falling Forward” book launch invites an evening of reflection, honesty and connection
Cavendish Square will host an intimate evening with Rachel Kolisi on Wednesday, 15 April, as she launches her memoir Falling Forward, co-written with author and journalist Zibu Sithole. Taking place in centre court and hosted by Exclusive Books, the event will begin at 18h00 for 18h30 start, offering readers the opportunity to hear directly from Kolisi and engage with the lady behind the story.
A story of rebuilding and becoming
Falling Forward is a deeply personal account of identity, resilience and reinvention. In the memoir, released alongside her documentary, Kolisi reflects on the private moments that have shaped her life, from childhood and motherhood to love, loss and the realities of living in the public eye. With honesty and clarity, she explores what it means to let go of expectation and step into a more authentic sense of self.
Co-authored with Zibu Sithole, a respected novelist and journalist, the book is shaped with a thoughtful narrative voice that brings depth and perspective to Kolisi’s story, capturing both its vulnerability and strength.
An evening with the author
Guests attending the launch can expect a thoughtful discussion with Kolisi, followed by an opportunity to purchase copies of Falling Forward and have them signed. Entry is free, with RSVP required via the Exclusive Books events page.
Faizah Behardien, Centre Manager at Cavendish Square, said, “Rachel Kolisi’s story is one that resonates on many levels, and we are honoured to be hosting this launch at Cavendish Square. It is a wonderful opportunity for readers to connect with her journey in an interactive way.”
