Vans announces the forthcoming release of the Charms pack, leading with the LX Authentic 44 Charms in three colorways, Black/White and Red/Navy. The Charms pack celebrates craft, rich textures and unexpected pairings, subverting cultural fashion cues through Vans’ iconic silhouettes. 

The LX Authentic 44 Charms features a removable charmed keepsake alongside a splattered and distressed sidewall, mimicking a traveled, memory-holding sneaker. The style also includes sequin striped quarters and an extra set of attached laces in a variety of colors for utmost versatility.

The Style 44 deck shoe, now widely known as the Authentic, was designed in 1966—the same year the Van Doren Rubber Company was founded in Anaheim, California. Sixty years ago, the Authentic occupied a space of its own, setting a new standard with its distinct and durable waffle outsole, made from thick crepe rubber. The LX Authentic 44 Charms celebrates its legacy through self-expression and modern craftsmanship, carrying the silhouette further into today’s cultural conversation.
