NAKED APE HOUSE OF MUSIC RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE FT STOGIE T

by

Johannesburg fashion house steps into sound, uniting Stogie T, L Tip and La Sauce on a track that carries the story of Africa Unite/d: The 48 Collection from runway to radio.

Naked Ape releases “Old Earth, New Runway the debut single from Naked Ape Music – a new platform positioned at the intersection of fashion, culture, and  sound, and the first release under the label’s House of Music banner.

The single leads the forthcoming Music Capsule project, a sonic extension of Naked Ape’s Africa Unite/d: The 48 Collection, which debuted at South Africa Fashion Week on 23 April 2026. Where the collection responded in fashion and form to the historic expansion of the global football tournament to 48 nations, “Old Earth, New Runway” carries  that same narrative of movement, identity, and unity into sound.

“Music has always been part of how we create,” says Shaldon Kopman, founder and Creative Director of Naked Ape. “Old Earth, New Runway is the sound of the collection before you ever see it. When you hear it, it should feel like you’re already wearing the future.”

The track is led by internationally acclaimed South African lyricist Stogie T, who features alongside rising voices of L Tip and La Sauce – a pairing of continental stature and emerging talent that mirrors the collection’s own dialogue between heritage and what comes next.
“This single is where two worlds meet — the old earth we come from, and an extension of the new runway,” says Apiwe Bubu, Executive Producer on the project. “Bringing my experience from Los Angeles and New York into an African context through this project has been incredibly meaningful.”

“Old Earth, New Runway” marks the first release under Naked Ape Music, the platform the brand launched in April 2026 to extend the its  storytelling from garment into sound. It sets the tone for the wider Music Capsule project still to come, and continues  Naked Ape’s evolution from fashion label into a multi-dimensional cultural brand grounded in its Ethi-Eco² philosophy — ethical, ecological, and economical.

“Old Earth, New Runway” is out now via We Want More distributed through Virgin Music Group.
