SA HUMANITARIAN NOMZAMO MBATHA HONOURED IN NYC

Last night actress and humanitarian advocate, Nomzamo Mbatha was honored by FACE AFRICA as recipient of the RISING STAR award, at its 10th Annual WASH GALA, in Manhattan, New York City. She was also presented by New York State Senator Kevin S. Parker with a Legislative Resolution by the State of New York in recognition of her work. 


“Each time these moments come my way, I stand still and take a deep breath as these a experiences are still unbelievable and unforgettable to me. My message remains resolute that as a people we have to do good towards each other and help each other stand tall, no matter what a background differences. Thank you to every single person with a positive message and important thank you for the prayers of protection.” Says Mbatha. 

For the past 10 years, FACE Africa, founded by Saran Jones,  uses its experience, platform and convening power to reshape the narrative around WASH and social change generally. Through advocacy, grassroots awareness campaigns, policy development and community engagement, its mission is to increase awareness of WASH challenges and solutions, and most importantly convert that heightened awareness into ACTION for change.
