PRIMEDIA BROADCASTING TOPS CATEGORIES WITH SIX IAB AWARDS

PIn honour of the local digital advertising/marketing and publishing works in the media industry, the 12th annual Bookmark awards celebration showed its commitment to digital excellence by being nimble and forward thinking. 

The much-anticipated annual event was for the first time digitised due to the cancellation of the onsite event owing to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Media and advertising joined virtually to celebrate as industry peers were awarded for their pioneering efforts.

Primedia Broadcasting walked away with six awards. Primedia was jointly awarded  best online publisher with 24.com.  

Eyewitness News (EWN) won gold for best online news video,  two bronze awards in the Best Specialist Publisher Site category for the special feature “Government or God” which zooms in on the water crisis in South Africa by using Makhanda in the Eastern Cape as a case study asking if the province could be a microcosm of the country in 2030.

  4. Gold     – Best Online News Video JHBs Toughest Cop (Thomas Holder for EWN)
  5. Black Pixel Special Honours – Best Online Publisher, Primedia Broadcasting and 24.com
  6. Black Pixel Special Honours – Best Online Journalist, Thomas Holder (EWN)
