After a series of successful ‘Swop to Shop’ Fashion Exchanges held in 2012, SKIP and DESTINY magazine are once again partnering to bring these events to Gauteng’s ethical shoppers!

Time immemorial, women all over the world have swapped clothes amongst their small circle of friends, from that little black dress that is one size too small but would look amazing on a friend to that – pair of amazing jeans that they were convinced would stretch with time! SKIP and DESTINY are making that circle bigger by giving you an opportunity not only to mingle and network with like-minded individuals, but also swap your nearly new items while being inspired and entertained!

Finding amazing garments at the Fashion Exchange is one thing, but you also need to know how to look after them. SKIP ambassadors will be at the events to impart invaluable expert advice on looking after your garments. “Fashion Exchanges are a fabulous platform to bring to our consumers. They are an engaging way for us to share our love for clothes with our consumers, while sharing with them the benefits that Skip has to offer. At Skip, we have a deep appreciation for clothes and we believe in caring for your clothes, by giving them as much respect as you do, that is why, we designed Skip Liquid Detergent. With its Fibre Protect TM Technology, it gets right into the heart of the fibres to remove even the toughest stains without damaging your clothes. Skip keeps your clothes looking like new for longer, allowing you to wear them season after season” says SKIP Assistant Brand Building Manager, Jaclyn Holmes.

As is always the case with all DESTINY events, special guest speakers will talk about their style and share life stories, which are sure to make an impact! Radio DJ and musician Unathi Msengana, Ndalo Media and Ndalo Luxury Ventures CEO Khanyi Dhlomo and Radio DJ, Anele Mdoda are some of the speakers billed to talk. Author, DESTINY columnist and Inspirational Speaker Timothy Maurice Webster will MC all the events while artists like The Muses will keep guests entertained!

The Fashion Exchanges will be taking place on 26 June, 23 August, 23 October and the 28 November in Johannesburg, and on 1 August and 25 September in Pretoria. Tickets cost R180, plus don’t forget to bring three or more high-fashion items to swap.

Be a part of these amazing events by simply following these steps:

Step 1: Go through your cupboard and select three nearly items that you value, but you no longer fit into or wear.

Step 2: Wash, clean and mend these items so that they are in their best condition and bring them along.

Step 3: Encourage your friends to do step and 2 and bring them along to the Fashion Exchange! Buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment!

To book, call Shaakirah Van Rensburg on 011 300 6700 or email shaakirah.vanrensburg@ndalomedia.com or simply click here!

All that’s left to do is go through your closet, wash your nearly-new outfit with Skip Liquid Detergent and dream about the glamour that could be yours in return.
