On the contrary, it’s all about turning up the heat for winter with a campaign that will connect Mzansi with real, authentic, individual stories. In short, it’s time to LiVELEGiT! And leading this mission – carrying the torch – are four influencers who have all the style, sass and spark to ignite the imagination of fashion lovers across the country. They are LEGiT’s Firestarters, and they’re going to light it up!
The four highly influential young bloggers are going to be at the forefront of this campaign, using their extensive online presence to champion LEGiT’s winter range. They are immensely popular, queens of the social media landscape, technology experts, style icons, trend makers and instigators whose influence is unforgettable. They are Zukhanye Ncapayi, lifestyle blogger and student, Lerato Kgamanyane, student and stylist, Tshepang Millison, social media specialist, model and strategist, and Ayanda Nhlapo, fashion designer, actress and musician. Collectively, they are the catalysts; starters of fires that will fuel and blaze throughout winter.
Each one will receive a LEGiT Firestarter Kit, a beautifully packaged box filled with all the winter fashion essentials a girl needs. They will then be encouraged to mix and match these items, and put outfits together in ways that best suit their personalities, styles and profiles. They’ll upload these to their various platforms, and in so doing provide first-hand, authentic inspiration for their thousands of followers and fans.
The central theme for LEGiT’s winter campaign is an aesthetic inspired by a 70s mood. It’s all cosy and comfortable with the latest looks worn over skirts or skinny pants and leggings. Also available are a variety of coats that range in palette from bold colours to winter whites and neutral shades. All this is underscored by detail that is alternately crafty, subtle or bold. Our Firestarters will be focusing their styling on three different elements, key focuses for the campaign. The first is a layering approach that incorporates polo necks and knits for that idea 70’s vibe. Next, wintery denim that will stand out with its clean-cut designs and anti-treatment styles. And finally statement pieces, to complete your look.
