Public set to flock to the much-loved shopping centre to Share in the Magic this festive season

Cresta Shopping Centre is calling all shoppers to join them in sharing the magic as they usher in the festive season with a special Carols by Glow Stick event marking the unveiling of a special seven-metre-tall Magical Toy Tree on December 1st.

Starring SAMA award winning songstress LeAnne Dlamini, who is joined by the Boskop Primary School choir hailing from the neighbouring Randburg area, the ‘Turning on the Lights’ event kickstarts the festive season for the much-loved shopping mecca which boasts over 250 stores and an immense variety of quality offerings.

The Turning on the Lights event and the unveiling of the Magical Toy Tree starts at 6pm on the night with festivities centred at Cresta’s impressive new three-level, Food and Entertainment Court that includes over 25 local and international restaurants encompassing fast food and casual dining as well as cinemas, bingo, bowling and games.

The new development caters for customers both young and old, those wanting a convenient shopping experience and those looking for an experience that entertains the whole family.

Bubbly TV personality Roxy Burger will host the night, with the public entertained by familiar tunes like Jingle Bells, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, a collaboration between LeAnne and the Boskop choir and then LeAnne will give a special rendition of the hit song “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen.

SOS Children’s Villages South Africa will be the beneficiaries of a unique CSI initiative which will be launched on the night, enabling Cresta to spread the magic to at least 875 children across five SOS Children’s Villages homes this festive season.

Cresta Shopping Centre attracts a loyal following of shoppers drawn to the convenience the shopping mecca offers, as well as its easy parking, accessibility and unparalleled atmosphere. This festive season, shoppers will also be able to enjoy the free gift wrapping service, or take a photo with Santa.

Friendly Cresta brand ambassadors will enhance the shopping experience by offering guidance on all the offerings for the kiddies and assisting with directions all in aide of making time spent at the centre memorable and fun.

“These holidays we have pulled out all the stops to offer our customers even more, with a host of activities and offerings so everyone can join Cresta to share in the magic this festive season, “says Cresta Shopping Centre General Manager Virginia Bester. “
