CHOOSE HAPPINESS AT EVERY MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE

by

What is happiness?

What does it mean to you?

It is your career?

Your family?

Or that song that you play every day on your playlist when you are driving around.

Happiness could be anything that puts a smile on your face and makes your days better. For McCain, happiness is providing delicious and nutritious chips and vegetables to households across South Africa.

In 2011, Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of The United Nations, endorsed the 20th of March as the “International Day of Happiness”. This day acknowledges happiness as a “fundamental human goal” and that a balanced approach to growth in all aspects of a country would promote happiness and well-being of all people.

McCain asked some celebrities and influencers what happiness means to them.

Shaney Vijendranath, blogger and creator of You, baby and I, said that. “My kids, family and job make me happy! Doing what you love will always make you happy,”.

Millicent Makhado, an actress in Muvhango, also reiterated that family is what brings her happiness, “My children and my faith bring me joy every day,” she laughed.

Deolinda Da Costa, Marketing Manager at McCain was asked the same question and said, “For us at McCain, happiness comes from knowing that we are there helping moms feed their families at the end of a busy day. It’s about knowing that little ones’ love eating our chips and about being part of a family coming together and having fun together through food,’

McCain encouraged all South Africans last week to take a moment and think about what makes you happy and just take the time to enjoy it, share that meal with your little ones, call your mom and take the time to do something to bring happiness to someone else. Loved the campaign.
