After re-opening earlier this year, the Peoples Theatre is thrilled to announce their fourth and final production for the year. The popular Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. will be on stage from November 8th to December 24th, ensuring the ideal family entertainment to enjoy this Festive Season and ending the year off in the best – and most fun – way possible.
Says Director Jill Girard, “What a whirlwind of a year it has been, with reopening the theatre which came with many changes and challenges, but at the same time, we also enjoyed many successes, with old and new faces gracing our auditorium and stage. We’re delighted to be bringing our audiences this crowd favourite!”
Ariel, a beautiful young mermaid longs to leave her ocean home and live in the world above, but first she will need to defy her Father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s seeking.
The Little Mermaid is jam=packed with instantly recognizable including amongst others; Part of your World, She’s in Love and the Oscar–winning Under the Sea. This production flows seamlessly between land and sea. ensuring a visual, musical treat that will be lavish, exciting and allow the imaginations of young and old to run wild.
Girard concludes; “Come and take a journey under the sea in a magical kingdom below with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. “This adaptation from Disney’s Broadway production promises to bring all of these well-loved under the sea characters to life in a spectacular end of year production”
