Nickelodeon Africa and Nedbank are excited to announce the official launch of “NickMusic Presents: Money Smarts with Nedbank Featuring Penny Power”, a vibrant weekly segment designed to teach kids essential financial literacy skills through music, entertainment, and storytelling.
NickMusic is back on air on NickToons (DStv channel 308), bringing together global hits, cool experiments, inspiring young heroes, and exciting games. Now, with the addition of the Money Smarts segment, children aged 6–14 can build smart money habits in a way that’s fun, relatable, and memorable. The segment premieres on Saturday 1 November 2025 at 09:00am.

The Money Smarts segment features Penny Power, Nedbank’s animated character, who guides young viewers through money-smart adventures. Through catchy tunes, playful storytelling, and engaging narratives, kids learn about saving for personal goals (“Save and Shine”), making thoughtful choices and budgeting (“Spend Smart”), and dreaming big for their futures (“Future Funds”).
To celebrate the launch, viewers can enter an exciting summer holiday competition running from 29 November 2025 to 20 December 2025. Prizes include a Nickelodeon Party at Wimpy for the winner and nine friends, a R500 weekly cash prize and if the winner is a Nedbank customer, the prize is doubled to R1000.00 or tickets to a SpongeBob movie premiere in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Durban. Full competition details and entry mechanics will be shared on Nickelodeon’s social media platforms.
