OCTOPIA FSTVL LAUNCHES THIS SATURDAY WITH 60 LOCAL AND 8 INTERNATIONAL ACTS
With only 1 days to go, the international shipment of props has finally arrived safe and ‘sound’ in Johannesburg yesterday. The team is hard at work setting up and decorating the venue with some amazing mind blowing props to add to the festivals décor. With the aim of creating a dream-like world for the festivalgoers, Octopia FSTVL will be something never seen or experienced in this country ever before!
International artists featured at the event include superstar Dj, Producer and trance legend Paul Van Dyk, a host of the worlds top Djs such as Dutch superstar duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, House Heavy weight Ferreck Dawn, Swiss based Psy-trance connoisseur Liquid Soul, Dutch deep house DJ, Alex Cruz, Paris’s own Technasia and Berlin-based DJ and producer, Oliver Dollar – Each bringing a unique sound and energy catering for all dance music lovers.
Octopia FSTVL, is an electronic music festival with a fresh future forward approach to event décor, production, music and expression, a party paradise for house, hip hop, EDM, techno and trancemusic lovers. Presented by the H2O team who has pioneered the South Africandance scene for the past 20 years. The event will take place at the well-known and well-loved party venue – Wild Waters, in Gauteng.
The event features 6 stages namely the 8 ENERGY SYSTEM – main arena, ILLUSIONS Side Stage, BASS UNION, 3 HEARTS PROJECT, OCTOPUS VALLEY & BLAME IT ON THE DANCE FLOOR! Each floor presenting a different genre of electronic music.
Local headliners include SA’s best Djs and artists such as Armada Music’s own South African DJ and producer, Protoculture , local house music powerhouse, F.Eu (DJ Fresh and Euphonik), Dj Ricardo Da Costa, Divas on Decks founder, Lady Lea, local vocal powerhouse, TiMO ODV, MC DJ Warras , DJ Switch, Sliqe, PH and local house maverick, Jazzuelle to name but a few.
Octopia FSTVL promises to be an all-day event to remember, with a major focus on production as a team of passionate party creators dive deep into a personal relationship with the element of water to bring you an electronic music festival with a fresh future forward approach to event décor, production, music and expression. The well-known and well-loved party venue – Wild Waters, will transform into a dream-like under water world of magic drawing inspiration from what lies beneath the depths, creating a dreamland of imagination, love, freedom, respect and a common passion for dance!
