TRACE group will broadcast Yemi Alade’s concert in Paris on TRACE Africa (DStv channel 326) at 8pm on Sunday 8th October 2017 – A must watch!
Yemi Alade is a world renowned Afro Pop superstar. Recognized by Africa as a Nigerian music diva, her talent and music exceeded the borders of her own country as she is the proud owner of two MOBO awards that she won in 2014 and 2015 for the “best international artist” category.
On April 7th of this year, Yemi Alade set fire to the stage of the Trianon in Paris. During an hour-and-a-half long show, the Nigerian diva gave an outstanding performance involving singing, dance coupled with sparkling, flamboyant outfits. Alongside others, the song Kissing, interpreted into a duet with French singer Marvin and her most famous hit Johnny, which made Yemi Alade the first and only African artist to gather 73 million views on YouTube and Vevo, the “King of Queens” treated an overexcited crowd, who were taken by her amazing performance.
A trendsetter and role model with her own musical style, Yemi Alade is also an ambassador for Africa: “We’re bringing the culture and we need to be there to experience Africa. If you’ve ever had questions about Africa and what it feels like, I think this is the closest you’ll be getting to Africa if you haven’t traveled there. We’ll be giving you good music with live instruments and dance !” she said via Paris based online magazine Into The Chic.
