Breaking Down Borders Africa Initiative has collaborated with Brand South Africa and the Presidency’s National Development Plan to bring this year’s Breaking Down Border Africa Youth Summit. Last year’s inaugural summit opened a platform to commemorate Africa Month through engagements with established leaders, young African leaders, and government under the theme ‘Youth Collaboration – towards a shared prosperous Africa’.
The summit, in partnership with the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, took part in May 2017 in accordance with the African Union’s “Africa Month”. It boasted an impressive list of speakers, moderators and participants in Africa’s academia and the intelligentsia spaces, including UNISA academic Dr Edith Phaswana, award-winning poet and writer Mwende “Freequency” Katwiwa, and the Gauteng’s MEC for Economic Development, Lebogang Maile, who gave a rousing and rallying speech to the attendant youth leaders.
Please find below your special invitation to the 2018 Breaking Down Borders Africa Youth Summit, where you will be able to engage with the Breaking Down Borders Africa Initiative’s SADC representatives, as well as the partner stakeholders, regarding this year’s theme, topics, selected guests and more
