Kiernan AKA Forbes is not just a well-known and liked hip hop artist. He is a culture influencer, a strong voice on not just music, but societal issues too. It came as no surprise back in 2015, when South Africa stood still, and the world took note, when students across the country stood in unity against the ever raising education fees – that AKA was in the mix, championing the students, lending his voice, influence and time to them.
It is for this reason that he has now put a structure to formalize his initiative so that it has a greater impact – assisting more students throughout the country. Now, using his personal brand image, he is aligning with corporate partners in putting together what will be the BIGGEST musical showcase of 2020 and beyond.
“I am super excited with what we have put together in less than a month. The process has been such a learning experience and we are ever grateful to the individuals and corporates that have stepped up this far. However, we still need more… I have faith in the people of South Africa and the business community, importantly, I have the most faith in the resilience of the team we have together that’s working tirelessly to ensure we reach our goal.” Said AKA.
The #FeesForAllMegaConcert will take place on 15 February 2020 at the Ticket Pro Dome, Johannesburg.
Tickets will be available on webtickets.co.za on 05 December 2019 and Pick ‘n Pay nation wide.
The proceeding, including ticket sales, public pledges, private sector donations/sponsorships and merchandise sales will fund the fees of the students in need.
