Collectible range of much-loved Disney characters on sale this September

The worldwide collectible and plush craze – “Disney Tsum Tsum” – has hit store this month, exclusively through Toys R Us.

The collectible and feature plush lines are based on much-loved Disney, Disney•Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh and many more. The stackable Tsum Tsums come in four different ranges: foil pack (R89.99), 3-pack (R149.99), 9-pack (R399.99), small plush (R149.99).

Born in Japan, “Disney Tsum Tsum”, which translates to ‘Stack Stack’, is an idea that stems from the Japanese Zen art of stone stacking. An overnight success when Disney Store Japan released the first range of collectable, stackable plush in late 2013. South African consumers can now join in the fun and start collecting and stacking the different Disney Tsum Tsums.

In addition to the launch, Disney fans will be able to view a new season of the “Disney Tsum Tsum” shorts on Disney Channel (DStv Channel 303) from September. The animated shorts see the Tsums participating in a wide range of fun activities together but nothing makes them happier than when they’re playing their favorite game ‘Tsum Tsum’ ‒ the taller, the wobblier, the more magnificent the better! Ultimately they always end up in a huge pile of laughter on the floor! Catch the shorts every Saturday and Sunday at 7:15AM.

The new season of Disney Tsum Tsums animated shorts forms part of Disney Channel’s 10th Birthday celebrations that will see the channel being opened to DStv Extra and Compact Customers from 5 September to 9 October. Fans can log onto Disney’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DisneyinAfrica) and the Disney Africa mobisite (disneyafrica.mobi) to stand in line to win Tsum Tsum prizes to get their collection started.

Fans can get in on the Disney Tsum Tsum action by sharing their stacking fun on social media with the hashtag #TsumTsumSA.
